Unique Ingredient Hobamine® Receives Health Canada NPN Approval

Hobamine is an innovative ingredient that promotes cell health.

TSI Group’s innovative cellular health ingredient, Hobamine®, has received a Natural Product Number (NPN) #80138909 from Health Canada’s Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD). This marks the first-ever NPN issued in Canada for a 2-HOBA ingredient, signifying its approval for sale in the Canadian market.

Hobamine®, a specialized form of the naturally occurring compound 2-HOBA, is now officially recognized for its ability to help cells protect against oxidative damage caused by free radicals.* The recommended adult dosage is one capsule, twice daily.

“Receiving an NPN from Health Canada is a tremendous milestone for Hobamine® and a testimate to TSI Group’s commitment to innovation in health and wellness,” says Shawn Baier, M.S., M.B.A., Vice President of Business Development at TSI Group. “This approval marks the first time Hobamine® has been recognized in Canada, opening the door for consumers to experience its unique benefits.”

Hobamine® is unlike any other nutritional intervention available today. Rather than disrupting the body’s normal, healthy oxidative processes, it specifically targets and neutralizes harmful downstream byproducts of oxidative stress that contribute to cellular dysfunction. This precision approach supports healthy cell function without interfering with the body’s natural defenses.

TSI Group has dedicated extensive research and resources to the development of Hobamine®. “We are at the forefront of brining novel, science-based ingredients to market.  Health Canada’s approval of Hobamine® further solidifies our leader in innovation. We are thrilled to introduce a brand new ingredient to the Canadian market, reinforcing our role as pioneers in the industry,” Baier adds.

“With regulatory validation, we can now work with partners to bring this breakthrough ingredient to Canadian consumers looking for next-generation health solutions.”
